I had the honor of speaking at the United Nations World Food Programme Dubai office this morning to deliver the session “Towards an empowered AI mindset”.
It was a wonderful opportunity to share my perspective on what we are experiencing as a society with AI at present.
As we enter the age of AI democratization, it is critical to address not only the technical aspects of AI but also the psychological ones, to make sure no one is left behind.
Fostering an empowered mindset is not about convincing people to use AI but about empowering them to decide by themselves if, when, and how to use AI. This requires providing psychological training on concepts such as the difference between fear and risk or the biases our minds have around AI due to influences such as Science Fiction, among many others.
